In "Lenny," friends navigate troubled pasts and new beginnings in 1970s San Francisco. "Bordertown" depicts a revival in a small hamlet, led by a tavern's new ownership and a local philosopher's call for a mayor, ending with the tavern's destruction but the town's enduring spirit.
