This book deals with the mechanics and dynamics of texile machines. The first chapter examines various types of power drives used in textile machinery. The second chapter discusses the types of gears and calculations involved with particular reference to textile machines. The third chapter deals with design aspect of conedrums used in spinning machines. The different types of cams used in textile machinery and design of cams used in ring frames and looms, and fundamental equations of motion along with textile applications are discussed in the following chapters. The final part of the book focuses on energy calculation in textile machines, frictional forces and their calculation, clutches and brakes. The book concludes with a complete analysis of sley movement in a loom with relevant calculations.
