John J. Michalczyk completed his doctoral studies at Harvard University (1972), where he first began research on the relationship of propaganda, art and film. He is currently a Professor in the Fine Arts department at Boston College. His research, teaching and programming reflect his interest in the sociopolitical dimension of the arts
