Memoirs of the World, in Ten Fragments

We live in an improbable world; an often inexplicable world; a world literally beyond belief. V.B. Price does not pretend to explain or impose a narrative or find meaning. A "memoir of the world" must, therefore, be random, occasional, infinitesimal, so incomplete as to be virtually nonexistent — and absolutely fascinating.

V.B. Price is a poet, journalist, environmental writer and human rights columnist, working in New Mexico and the Southwest since l962. He’s the former editor of Century Magazine, New Mexico Magazine, The New Mexico Mercury (online), and a long-time columnist at the New Mexico Independent and The Albuquerque Tribune. He retired in 2010 as the editor of the Mary Burritt Christensen Poetry Series at the University of New Mexico Press. Price received an honorary Doctor of Letters (Litt.D) from the University of New Mexico in 2016, and was awarded the Paul Re’ Peace Prize at UNM for “lifetime achievement” the same year.
