Memories and Migrations

Using region as a category of analysis, this pioneering collection explores the reciprocal relationship between Latinas and location. Vicki L. Ruiz is a professor of history and Chicano/Latino studies and chair of the department of history at the University of California, Irvine. She is the author of From Out of the Shadows: Mexican Women in Twentieth-Century America. John R. Chßvez is a professor of history at Southern Methodist University and the author of Eastside Landmark: A History of the East Los Angeles Community Union.
