Men and Masculinities Around the World

How are men reacting to contemporary social change? How are they responding to changes in women's demands and women's identities? And how are national and transnational politics and policies assisting, or not, in these key challenges? Using a broad comparative perspective, contributions from scholars in seventeen countries analyze the characteristics and potential of diverse educational and political initiatives towards progressive changes in gender relations.

Elisabetta Ruspini is a senior associate professor of Sociology at the University of Milano Bicocca. Jeff Hearn is a professor of Gender Studies at Linkoping University, a professor of Sociology at the University of Huddersfield, and a professor in the Hanken School of Economics. Bob Pease is the chair of Social Work at Deakin University. Keith Pringle is a professor of Sociology at Uppsala University, a professor of Social Policy and Social Work at London Metropolitan University, an honorary professor at Aalborg University, and an honorary professor at Warwick University.
