This work will serve as the definitive record of the works of painter, lithographer, scholar, and art historian Clinton Adams. Adams was one of the founders of the renowned Tamarind Institute, and was instrumental in the revival of lithography. He studied and taught at UCLA in the 1940s and 50s and became Dean of College of Fine Arts at the University of New Mexico in 1961. When the California-based Tamarind Lithography Workshop moved to UNM in 1971 (becoming The Tamarind Institute) Adams assured its directorship.
