The Millennium Development Goals and Beyond International Assistance to the Asia-Pacific

This book examines how international aid donors and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) can assist countries in the Asia-Pacific region achieve the Millennium Development Goals. The book examines the progress countries have made towards the MDGs and highlights the need to tailor the goals to individual country circumstances.

SIMON FEENY is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT University, Australia. He was formerly employed by the University of Melbourne and is a former intern of the United Nations Universitys World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER). He has undertaken work for a number of international institutions and agencies.

MATTHEW CLARKE is a Senior Lecturer and Course Director of the International and Community Development postgraduate program at Deakin University, Australia. In addition to research and writing, Clarke regularly undertakes evaluation of community development interventions in southeast Asia for various private and public aid agencies.
