Moses Stern was a detective in the 1950's. American, at this time, is often thought of in glowing memories. The water was cleaner and the world was a wonderful place to live.Moses didn't live in this Baseball and Apple Pie world that many remember. Moses said that he lived on the fringes of society because he liked it there. "People were too busy just trying to make a living to put on airs." He often talked about politics with his friends at the Back Stage Bar and many times they did not agree. The owner of the bar, Sam, was a big fan of Senator McCarthy for a long time. Even after McCarthy had fallen from favor, Sam would still speak of him in glowing terms. Moses' friend Ron Stevens was not as enamored of McCarthy as he was himself a politician and so he was quick to point out the flaws of other politicians. Some of the characters in this book may be based on people the author has known in his life time, but he is loathed to admit it as he has a morbid fear of lawyers. The era that many refer to as "the golden age" of America is presented here the way that Moses lived it; on the fringes of excepted society. We hope you enjoy the second volume of The Moses Stern Chronicles as we recount to you what was gleaned from the files and memories of Moses Stern.
