Moving to Paradise

'Moving to Paradise' is about, well, moving to Paradise-Paradise, California that is. I have to admit that stories about pets and friends and stuff that has nothing at all to do with moving to Paradise got chucked in. The resulting scrapbook medley goes to show you how seemingly trivial comments or events sometimes lead us along our major pathways. The retelling of those journeys is often humorous, at least in hindsight, well, at least some of the time.And, okay, to be honest, I wrote this book with ulterior motives-sort of along the lines of Anthony's t-shirt. Anthony, a college friend ,customized a t-shirt to read:6'11"Fine, thanks.Nope.It answers the questions he is asked most frequently:How tall are you?How's the weather up there?Have you ever tried out for basketball?Funny, huh? But he figures the t-shirt saves him a lot of time. Anthony ended up, by the way, establishing a consultant firm that is all about time-management assessments. Well, that's the perfect fit. Moving to Paradise is my t-shirt, only I made no effort whatsoever to be as succinct as my tall friend.As you probably have figured out by now, my husband and I are living in Paradise, California. I guess we all ended up were we belonged. See how that works?
