My Daddy's Shoes

My Daddy's Shoes is a vibrant, fun book about the joy of a young African American boy growing up with his father as his main role model for life. Little Bryce is overjoyed as he discovers how his daily family interactions and fascination with his father's shoes is really a desire to one day grow up and be just like his dad. The author wrote the book from the perspective and personal experiences he had with his own children. The author's intent was to increase the awareness of the importance of present, active, consistent fathers in the life of all children and more specifically in the context of the African American Community. The book has brilliant illustrations which highlights experiences that people from all walks of life can relate to. This book promises to be a family bedtime favorite for many children for many years to come.

Brian Shannon worked as a public school educator for twenty years as both
a teacher and school administrator. He earned his B.A. in education and an
M.Ed. in school leadership and administration. He has worked as a youth
advocate, mentor and in group home transition services. He has been serving
in church ministry for over 20 years. He authored his first book, (Missing Pillars) America's Black Father Absence Crisis in 2022. He currently serves as an associate pastor full time on staff at Cornerstone Chapel in Leesburg, VA. He has been married to his wife Toni for twenty-seven years, and they have two children, son Bryce and daughter Ryan.
