National Identity and Economic Interest Taiwan's Competing Options and Their Implications for Regional Stability

Peter C. Y. Chow is professor of economics at the City College and Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He was a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a consultant to the World Bank. His main area of interest is in trade and development with main focus in Asia Pacific region. He published more than 60 articles in referee journals, chapters of book and several books in trade, industrialization and modernization in Taiwan, China and other less developed countries. He has been serving as the Executive Director of the American Association for Chinese Studies since 1998.
