Native and Christianis an anthology of essays by indigenous writers in the United States and Canada on the problem of native Christian identity. These essays represent a new form of literary expression among contemporary native peoples, and they bring a fresh perspective to the liberation theology movement. The native writers who contributed to this collection come from a number of distinct tribal backgrounds.Native and Christianwill be the first book-length work ever published addressing the subject of religious identity from a contemporary native Christian perspective.
