A New School for Evan

It's Evan's first day at a new school in a new neighborhood. As a fifth grader, he's worried and nervous about making new friends and how he will be received as a new student. A New School for Evan is a story that teaches children how to embrace new friends, sharing, being kind, forming new friendships and building long lasting bonds.

Vicki Bell taught public school for over thirty years. Vicki has a bachelor's degree in Social Work and a master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Detroit. She began her educational career teaching second grade. Most of her educational experience was teaching elementary special needs students with learning disabilities. She once received an award for "Outstanding Teacher of the Year" at her school.
