Svetlana Chmakova was born and raised in Russia until the age of 16, when her family emigrated to Canada. She is best known for Dramacon (OEL; Tokyopop), the 2-page The Adventures of CG for CosmoGIRL! magazine, and the webcomic Chasing Rainbows for Girlamatic. She graduated from Sheridan College with a three-year Classical Animation Diploma. Her credits also include how-to-draw-manga books, RPG manuals, toy designs, and animation.-á Svetlana will continue to make regular appearances at comic and anime conventions with Yen Press, meeting with fans and signing Nightschool promo art.
