Nordic Narratives of the Second World War National Historiographies Revisited

Written by leading Nordic historians, this analysis discusses post-war memory and war historiographies from the perspectives of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden vis-a-vis the Second World War. Mirja Österberg is a Ph.D. student in history at the Center for Nordic Studies at the University of Helsinki. Johan Östling is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of History at Lund University. He is the recipient of the Clio Prize and the Nils Klim Prize. Henrik Stenius is the Research Director of the Center for Nordic Studies at the University of Helsinki. He is a former professor at the Department of History at Helsinki University and Director of the Finnish Institute in London. He is also a member of the Finnish Center of Excellency of Political Thought and Conceptual Change and a member of the Nordic Center of Excellency of Nordic Welfare Research.
