Osey

This story follows the struggles of a young girl who is washed overboard from a raider's boat and caught in a violent storm. The girl awakens in the cabin of a father and son, Terin and Jeremiah. With no knowledge of her past she has a vague glimmer of a name, Darcy. In the years that follow she falls in love with Jeremiah and along the way meets, Remi, Sam and Tara. The five people are part of a race known as Dracons. They were worshipped as the Ancient Gods. When man started his climb out of superstition they could only grasp faith simply, and God decreed that the Dracons would act for him. The shape shifters had the ability to change from man to dragon form thus giving man a strong image to worship. As man became enlightened over the years God found that man no longer needed the Dracons, so he released them of their vow. They still live and love in the only way their strict tradition allows, unable to break free of the rigid Dracon society. It is this world Darcy finds herself a part of. She learns of the old ways, but it is her free spirit that enables Remi and the others find the strength and the courage to be individuals.They learn that renegade Dracons, refusing to give up the power God had given them are plotting with a mad King from a nearby kingdom to gain control of the fabled Eternal Springs, the fountain of youth. This book tells the story of the Dracons and the variety of dragons that are part of their life. It also follows Darcy and the war that devastates the Kingdom of Osey. Through long years of trials and tribulations, our heroes and heroines finally triumph. Where love gives the people caught up in the midst of tragedy and sorrow the strength to prevail.
