Meg Wilkes Karraker is Professor of Sociology, Family Studies, and Women's Studies at University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN, USA, where she is also Family Business Center Fellow. She is the author of Catholic Sisters, Diversity, and a Good Society (forthcoming, 2014) and Global Families (second edition, 2013) and co-author of Families with Futures: Family Studies for the Twenty-first Century (second edition, 2012). She is President Emerita of Alpha Kappa Delta (the international sociology honor society) and recipient of her university's Aquinas Scholars Honors Program Teacher of the Year Award and the Midwest Sociological Society's Jane Addams Award.
