PATHWAY TO DESTINY begins with the Russo-Ukrainian war. The novel is apocalyptic and presents a plausible route to fulfilment of the prophecies of Revelation, which conclude with the Second Coming. The time period covered in the novels is twenty years. During this period, the characters who participate in the perpetual war interact in their various roles to perpetrate strategies of naked aggression or desperate efforts to defend themselves, their homes and their families. The decline of society and numerous crises rise to a feverish and fire-fueled pitch as God relaxes the Rules of Engagement which limit the extent to which Satan may tempt mankind. Big Picture issues include how perpetual war affects global climate change, fossil fuel use, weapons of mass destruction, and viral pandemics. Key figures are the political leaders, the military, corporate CEOS, and the church. Will the struggles of man end in Mutual Assured Destruction in an exchange of nuclear Intercontinental ballistic missiles? W. R. Reinhardt is a news junky and an avid reader of both fiction and history. A 1973 grad of Duke University, Ray worked as a broker in the securities industry until his retirement in in 2010. He published two novels in 2021; Entry to Alliance Empire and Alliance Regime. His third novel is the first in a four-part series which begins with the Russo-Ukrainian war.
