This lively book, totally written in verse, is about a little girl named Sadie who is preparing for her first day of kindergarten. She spends her last day of summer vacation visiting her Grandmother's farm. At the farm she notices that the animals all come in different colors, shapes and sizes. As she sees all of the farm animals, Sadie makes a discovery. She asks her Grandmother "Why are kittens so different in color and in shape and in size?" Her Grandmother answers that "They were meant to be different, no two are the same, So kittens are perfect in Mother Nature's eyes. Sadies notices the same is true about the horses, cows, pigs, chickens, ducks and flowers. The next morning Sadie excitedly heads off to her first day of Kindergarten. As she looks around at her new classmates she immediately sees that they are all different in color, in shape and in size. She remembers her Grandmother's words and realizes that this means children are also Perfect In Mother Nature's eyes. This story has a wonderful lesson for children to learn and is taught in a heart warming way. Enjoy!
