The construction site of a luxury housing complex becomes a crime scene in this latest mystery featuring Detective Ricardo Cupido. Breda, Spain, is in the midst of the housing boom that has swept up so much of the country. Although there are differences of opinion and the ambitious project is not without risk, the expectation of sumptuous profits drives the partners to continue. When the corpse of one of the partners is discovered inside one of the newly constructed buildings, the enigmatic Detective Cupido delves into a passionate investigation where the alibis matter less than the dark and desolate description of the human condition.
