A Pilgrim's Progress: The Life and Art of Gerald Trottier

This first in-depth examination of the life and work of Gerald Trottier (1925 - 2004) discusses over fifty years of production, including the early Social Realist works, the "Medieval period" of the 1950s, the imposing expressionist paintings he exhibited at the 8th Sao Paulo Biennial in 1965, and the realist paintings he made in the mid-1960s. Trottier's innovative liturgical design work is also explored in detail.
