Elliott Whitney was a pseudonym used by a number of writers for the 13 titles in The Boys' Big Game Series published by Reilly Britton Co. Some of the authors were H. L. Sayler, George N. Madison, Evan R. Chesterman and H. Bedford Jones. Titles include: The Giant Moose (1912), The King Bear of Kadiak Island (1912), The White Tiger of Nepal (1912), The Blind Lion of the Congo (1912), The Rogue Elephant (1912), The Pirate Shark (1914), The King Condor of the Andes (1915), The Black Fox of the Yukon (1917), The Bobcat of Jump Mountain (1920), The Crazy Elk of Terrapin Swamp (1921), The Lady Dragon of Dancing Point (1922), The Saber-Tusk Walrus (1923) and The Boss of the Bighorn (1924).
