During that time he chronicled Captain Sparrow's adventures and also learned much about the crafty pirate's youth, which is the writer's favorite subject to explore. As he has technically been deceased for a number of centuries, he pens his works through a channeler, and is forever grateful to the mystic Tia Dalma for teaching him how to possess great writers.
