Poems in Two Volumes

William Wordsworth was an English poet who helped to form the Romantic Age. Wordsworth's best work is considered to be The Prelude, a semiautobiographical poem about his early years. Wordsworth's first published poetry was the collections An Evening Walk and Descriptive Sketches (1793). In 1843 Wordsworth became Poet Laureate.
