Poems and Verses of Rhyme and Reason

This is a diverse grouping of poetry and verse inspired by my worldwide travel experiences as well as the interpersonal understandings developed over a lifetime. But my work is far removed from the usual fare one sees today. It is at once tender and sensitive, witty and gay, tranquil and serene, questioning and provocative. There is a decided educational component to many of the works. More than a few convey messages important in our daily lives. Many are commentaries on the wonderment and glory of the physical world surrounding us. There are long narratives depicting the lives of people whose contributions have changed the world. Not the least, there in an insistent pulse throughout, which propels my thoughts inexorably, giving them that sweep and power which accounted for the greatness of poets of the golden age. Without overexploiting the technique, I've employed rhyming words to add to the charm of my lines. Not merely happenstance, my works reflect the considerable love, effort, and skill which went into their creation.
