Poetry for the Quiet Moment

The poems I have written contained with the cover of this book are based on true happenings of people who are near and dear to home. #xA0; Some are based on day to day happenings and others on tragic situations as they emerge or ideas that present themselves in the early morn. #xA0; When sleep evades me then I pick up my materials and write.#xA0;Sometimes I may have a competition to enter and work on an idea in bed at night in the quietness of my room. Other ideas start to form listening to people's stories. #xA0; Childhood memories of things, my grandchildren, my family, my workplace, places I've visited. #xA0; Love of human nature, life around my garden which I've spent many happy hours watching the wildlife the birds, squirrels, a hawk, even to a large rat and a fox passing by.#xA0;I hope you the reader will enjoy reading these as much as I have enjoyed putting them together.
