Few constructions illustrate better the culture of leisure than the swimming pool. Although on some occasions it can play a religious, landscapist or sporting role, the image of a swimming pool is almost always associated with lazy hours enjoyed in a bathing suit in the warm sun.
Pere Planells was born in Ibiza and lived in the Balearic for many years. He now works as a photographer in Barcelona, specializing in architecture and travel. His photographs appear regularly in international publications and magazines such as "The New York Times", "Elle Deco" and "El Pais Semanal".
