A Primer of Clinical Interpretation Classic

This Primer provides an introduction to clinical interpretation for students who are just beginning the study and practice of dynamic psychotherapy, and for more experienced clinicians who wish to undertake further study of clinical interpretation. The literature on how to infer and formulate clinical interpretations is surprisingly meager, and does not convey how important and central the role of interpretation is in clinical work.

Philip F. D. Rubovits-Seitz is Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and the Behavior Sciences at the George Washington University Medical Center.
