Prisms And Rainbows Michel Butor's

French novelist and essayist and leading writer of the Nouveau Roman, Michael Butor was thematically concerned with changes in space and time and the artist's dilemma in recreating reality. This book is a study of Michel Butor's collaboration with three visual artists -- Jacques Monory, Jiri Kolar, and Pierre Alechinsky, specifically those in which the artwork preceded the text and thus provided Butor with inspiration for his texts.
