Dr. Clifton K. Meador began practicing medicine when specialized medicine was in its infancy. As one of only four endocrinologists in the state of Alabama during the early 1960s, many patients with puzzling symptoms came under his care. Puzzling Symptoms, Dr. Meador's eleventh book, draws the many intriguing from over fifty years as a practicing physician as well as unique case studies from those of his colleagues. Dr. Meador has served as a professor, dean of the School of Medicine at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, and is currently the executive director of the Meharry Vanderilt Alliance.
