Warren Hugh Wilson (1867-1937) was an author and editor. In 1890 he graduated from Oberlin College and moved to New York city where he became the first secretary of the YMCA and edited its magazine, The Intercollegian. In 1891 he entered the Union Theological Seminary in New York and at the same time he took geology and criminology courses at Columbia University. After his graduation from seminary in 1894, he worked full time in Quaker Hill. From 1899 to 1908, Wilson served as pastor of the Arlington Avenue Presbyterian Church in Brooklyn, New York. While he was there he entered Columbia University and received his Ph. D. Wilson's published works included twelve books and pamphlets, thirteen periodical articles, seven parts of series, six addresses and seventeen surveys. His works include: Quaker Hill: A Sociological Study (1907) and The Evolution of the Country Community: A Study in Religious Sociology (1912).
