Her studies and career have brought her all over the world, including as a visiting scholar at Kunsthochschule Kassel of Germany, a visit the Ecole nationale superieure des Arts Decoratifs as a scholarship winner, and as a student under Okamoto Youko—a well-known Japanese textile artist. She has her own patchwork design studio in China.
