Red Hot Chili Peppers

A principios de los años ochenta, cuatro adolescentes del Fairfax High School de Los Ángeles se subían a un escenario para un único concierto. Dos de aquellos chicos –Anthony Kiedis y Michael Balzary ‘Flea’– formaron el núcleo germinal de los Red Hot Chili Peppers, una de las bandas más salvajes e irreverentes de la historia de la música. Alineados en lo que se ha llamado funk-rock, por el grupo han pasado numerosos músicos, algunos de los cuales han dejado su particular huella, elevando su trayectoria a lo más alto hasta el punto de llenar estadios por todo el mundo y convertirse en una leyenda viviente. Esta es su historia contada por uno de los periodistas musicales que mejor conoce a la fabulosa banda angelina.

In the early 1980s, four teenagers from Fairfax High School in Los Angeles took to the stage for a single concert. Two of those boys – Anthony Kiedis and Michael Balzary ‘Flea’ – formed the nucleus of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, one of the wildest and most well-known bands of all time. Aligned in what has been called funk-rock, numerous musicians have passed through the group, elevating their career to the point of filling stadiums around the world and becoming living legends. This is their story told by one of the music journalists who best knows this fabulous band.

Carlos Có rdoba is a designer and cartoonist of comics since 2013. He has worked as an illustrator for different design studios and as a freelancer. After finishing his training at the JOSO drawing school, he has undertaken projects of his own making himself known in what is his true passion: comic illustration. Ever since he heard the riff from  « Black Dog» ,  Led Zeppelin has been a part of his life...now he returns the favor with this rock novel.    Carlos Có rdoba (Barcelona, 1992) es diseñ ador y dibujante de có mics desde 2013. Ha trabajado como ilustrador para diferentes estudios de diseñ o y como freelance. Tras terminar su formació n en la escuela de dibujo JOSO, ha emprendido proyectos propios dá ndose a conocer en la que es su verdadera pasió n: la ilustració n de có mics. Desde que el artista escuchó el riff de « Black Dog» , Led Zeppelin ha formado parte de su vida... Ahora les devuelve el favor con esta novela del rock. Borja Figuerola (Barcelona, 1985) es publicista, guionista y periodista cultural desde hace má s de diez añ os. Ha trabajado en la radio y en el desarrollo de formatos televisivos y largometrajes, ademá s de en medios especializados como Ruta 66. Tambié n ha escrito la novela musical No te hundas, Johnny y los libros Los Rolling Stones y Yo tambié n jugué a la Game Boy publicados en esta misma editorial. Esta novela grá fica del rock supone su primera incursió n en el mundo del có mic, permitié ndole fusionar dos de sus dos grandes pasiones: la capacidad de contar historias y la mú sica. Borja Figuerola has been a publicist, scriptwriter and cultural journalist for more than ten years. He has worked in radio and in the development of television formats and feature films, as well as in specialized media such as Ruta 66. He has also written the musical novel No te sindas, Johnny and the published books, The Rolling Stones, and Yo also played the Game Boy, within this same editorial. This graphic novel of rock is his first foray into the world of comics, allowing him to fuse two of his two great passions: the ability to tell stories and music.
