Reflections

The book entitled Reflections, which actually contains the two separate books, Reflection and Photograph, is an in depth look at the recent string of events that have helped to shape the current state of affairs in America. Poems like Wonder, War on the Border, and Fort Hood provide insightful overviews for many of the recent controversies to affect our nation. Also other poems such as Ode, which gives reference to the late Senator Byrd, as well as Divorcing Nature, which is a blues inspired poem that depicts hurricane Katrina as an angry wife leaving her husband, all assist in providing a sense of completion and harmony between the two works. Furthermore, each book contains a wide variety of alternating themes and subjects that show a impressive level of depth and work to provide a brilliant introduction for a serious young writer.
