The Refugee Journey Psycho-Social Perspectives on Forced Migration

The Refugee Journey describes the psycho-social experiences of internally displaced, forced migrants and returnees. The voices of Guatemalan and Rwandan refugees help to illustrate the relationship between external displacements and inner journeys in contexts of violence, life in camps, during settlement and re-settlement, and after repatriation. The book portrays the lives of refugees in a manner that is sensitive to their experiences, concerns and cultural backgrounds yet capable of cross-cultural comparisons and generalizations.
