Arranged alphabetically and by CAS number, the handbook serves as a reference guide to more than 750 chemical pollutants.

A member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, she received the B.S. (1996) and M.S. (1997) degrees in chemical engineering from Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York. Bella Devito, a member of the Order of the Engineer, received the B.S. (1997) and M.S. (1999) degrees in chemical engineering from Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York. Louis Theodore is Professor of Chemical Engineering at Manhattan College, Riverdale, New York. Theodore received the B.Ch.E. degree from Cooper Union College, and the M.ChE. and Eng.Sc.D. degrees from New York University, New York.
