Resorts and Ports draws together a group of case-studies which for the fi rst time explore the changing relationships between port and resort activities in a cross-section of European maritime settings over three centuries. Peter Borsay is a Professor in the Department of History and Welsh History at Aberystwyth University and has published widely in the areas of British urban and leisure history since the 18th century, including the history of spas and seaside resorts John K.
