Safe Sailing CD-ROM: SMCP Training for Seafarers

To ensure safety at sea, it's vital that sailors communicate using the standard English phrases set by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). This CD-ROM provides thorough practice of all the International Maritime Organisation's Standard Marine Communication Phrases (IMO SMCPs). Designed for self-study use, it can be used on-board or on land. As well as a variety of interactive exercises, regular progress tests and audio of each standard phrase, the CD-ROM also features a listen and record function. What's more, there's also a wordlist with translations into Russian, Italian, Spanish, Greek and Chinese. Safe Sailing is also a useful companion for those training for the GOC exam (General Operators Certificate).
