Sailors and the Sea

The sea provides bittersweet experiences; its beauty can be caustic. Its extremes make everything in life more clear and more challenging.Captain Len always says that "Life isn't for the weak." It is even a bit more effort to stay even when you live on a boat. These two stories are about life in and around sailboats in the Caribbean -- the Lesser Antilles. The sea does not give quarter and not being vigilant can be fatal; yet simply being at sea when the sails are full and the seas alive is like nothing else -- it is a time when a person directly feels their interaction with he true power of our world.
