Seamus Heaney Poet, Critic, Translator

This volume collects twelve new essays and aims to represent more comprehensively the abundance and variety of both Heaney's writing and scholarship on Heaney's writing.

ASHBY BLAND CROWDER is Peace Professor of English, American Literature, and Humanities at Hendrix College in Arkansas. He is author of a twice award-winning biography of William Humphrey, Wakeful Anguish (2004), editor of Far From Home, the Selected Letters of William Humphrey (2007), and editor of volume XIII of the Ohio Browning Edition (1995). He was U.S. Fulbright Professor at the University of Lodz in Poland (2005-6).
JASON DAVID HALL is Lecturer in English at the University of Exeter. He is the author of articles and chapters on Seamus Heaney's poetry and is completing a monograph of Heaney titled Embedded Poetics. He is an assistant editor of the journal Clues and contributes to a variety of literary encyclopaedias and companions.
