She was responsible for the development and implementation of the School of Education and a founding member-later to become director-of MERIT (Multicultural Education, Research, Intervention and Training) and the undergraduate school. She has also been a professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she developed the Center for Intercultural Clinical Psychology.
