Jane Gaskell is dean of the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto, where she is also a professor in the Department of Sociology and Equity Studies in Education and the Department of Theory and Policy Studies. Kjell Rubenson is a professor in the Department of Educational Studies and co-director of the Centre for Policy Studies in Higher Education and Training at the University of British Columbia.
