Ernst Ksemann - celebrated initiator of the twentieth-century "new quest of the historical Jesus" - here talks about discipleship, faith, and the worldwide lordship of Christ. Consisting of twenty-eight previously untranslated lectures and sermons delivered between 1975 and 1996, this book shows a side of Ksemann not so clearly seen in his more famous theological works.

Ernst Ksemann (1906-98) was a socially engaged Lutheran pastor and an eminent professor of New Testament at the Universities of Mainz, Gttingen, and Tbingen. His many books include studies of Romans, Hebrews, the historical Jesus, and the New Testament Canon.
