Nancy in Hell

Nancy in Hell was created in homage to the B-movies we’ve all known and loved; the premise of a cheerleader armed with a chainsaw trapped in hell certainly seems to fit with the genre. And this version of hell is very rock ‘n’ roll. There are bars, beer, and girls dancing on tables. There are seedy guys who smoke, drink, and brandish automatic weapons as they rub up on said girls. Nancy will have to travel to the gates of hell, navigating her way through all the creatures that make up this strange world.

Nancy in Hell nació como un homenaje gamberro a esas obras de "serie B" que tan buenos ratos nos han hecho pasar. Ciertamente la premisa de una animadora armada con una motosierra atrapada en el Infierno da para uno de esos buenos ratos. Y el Infierno es uno de esos infiernos míticos del rock. Hay bares, hay cerveza, hay chicas bailando sobre las mesas. Hay tipos malencarados que fuman, beben y blanden armas automáticas mientras soban a chicas neumáticas. La música la suponemos terriblemente alta. Y entonces todo se derrumba. Nancy tendrá que viajar desde los Abismos del Malebolgia hasta las Puertas del Infierno, abriéndose camino por entre todas las criaturas que pueblan este reino.

El Torres is a Spanish comic artist. His books include El velo, El bosque de los suicidas, and Nancy in Hell. He received the award for best comic at the 2015 Salón del Cómic in Madrid and the award for the best comic in Spain at the 2016 Salón del Cómic in Barcelona. Juan José Ryp is a comic book illustrator whose work includes Bribones, Black Summer, and Robocop. He has also worked with Marvel and DC.
