David Elgin Dodge was a devoted and treasured member of the Taliesin Fellowship for more than 70 years. His allegiance to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lloyd Wright was lifelong and unwavering. David discovered a kindred spirit in Mr. Wright—both had a love of music that was only surpassed by a love of architecture.

In his many years as part of the Taliesin Fellowship, David contributed his remarkable creative skills in the drafting room as a member of Wright's successor firm, Taliesin (Associated) Architects, and also as an educator who taught generations of students at the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture. With the dissolution of the Taliesin Architects in 2003, David continued a private architectural practice, but turned much of his attention to his other love—musical composition. He wrote 13 symphonies and other musical works, several of which have been performed by the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra.

This special monograph documents a curated selection of architectural projects through drawings and photographs—many never before published—that highlight David's lasting contribution to the practice and education of organic architecture.

A living legacy, David's work will live on to inspire future generations.
