Juan Gabriel Vásquez is an internationally acclaimed, award-winning Colombian writer whose work has been translated into fourteen languages. Educated in Colombia and in Paris at the Sorbonne, he is the author of several novels, including The Informers; he has also written a short biography of Joseph Conrad. Vasquez lives in Barcelona with his family.
