Security Operations in the 21st Century: Canadian Perspectives on the Comprehensive Approach

Considerable progress has been made with this approach but questions remain regarding its sustainability. The authors demonstrate that the research and experience of academics and practitioners can be consolidated as Canada attempts to create a new standard for dealing with the security challenges of the 21st century.

Lieutenant-Colonel Michael Rostek, Ph.D., is a member of the Canadian Forces and he currently leads a research team for the Canadian Army engaged in strategic foresight. He researches and lectures on matters of defence force development, policy and management. Peter Gizewski is a Senior Defence Scientist with Defence Research and Development Canada's Center for Operational Research and Analysis (DRDC-CORA), He currently serves as Strategic Analyst to the Land Staff in Kingston, Ontario.
