In the early 1970's in an impoverished section of Barranquilla, Columbia a young mother is forced to separate her twin baby boys. She devotes her life to her religion and her remaining son.
Circumstances brings her son into the clutches of the head of the Cali drug cartel and eventually onto the radar of the United States Drug Enforcement Agency.

Louis Romano entered the literary world at age 58. Romano has published twenty novels. His best-selling book BESA has been translated into Albanian. INTERCESSION and CARUSI: The Shame of Sicily are among his best known work. John Gojcaj is of Albanian decent and was born in Skorraqi, Montenegro. He lived much of his life in Detroit, Michigan where he finished his college education. He's lived in New York for the past thirty-eight years where he has enjoyed a career in engineering and construction. Gojcaj appeared in several New York magazines doing promotional work for Disney. Acting is one of his passions. Gojcaj lives with his growing family in Rockland County, New York. This is his first novel.
