Silver Gate

Ever since Danny Adkin's mother died, he and his father have not been able to see eye-to-eye. After paying for the long illness of his wife, Mr. Adkins ran out of money and had to sell Danny's horse-his only friend-to make ends meet. This is the final straw for Danny. He decides to leave the small mountain town of Silver Gate and head out on his own. Little does he know that a cave he shelters in hides a portal to an extraordinary experience that will once again bring him face-to-face with his mother on an alternate-Earth of red deserts, warring tribes, and a technology-hungry tyrant. This story of a young man coming to terms with the disappointments and successes of adulthood in an alien environment is the first installation of a serial.
